The mission of Rekindled Spirits Massage Therapy is to help clients achieve and maintain a balanced, healthy state. The goal is assist the client’s body to awake its ability to heal itself.
There are many approaches/services to achieve this “balanced, healthy state.” The healing session is tailored to the individual client by listening to his/her body’s needs. The important realization is to place the logical mind aside, and let the client’s body and soul direct the healing needed during the session.
Massage is not a “Quick Fix”. Massage is a process that takes time and usually many sessions to achieve a “balanced, healthy state.” Remember that the body has accumulated it aches and pains overtime, and it may take some time and dedication to “unwind” and bring the client back into a “balanced, healthy state.” The process is often a moving target, since we continue to live and face daily challenges that impact our bodies.
Massage should be an investment in one’s healthcare program. In our busy lives, it’s nice to take time for ourselves on a routine basis and erase the worries and stresses out of our complex lives. Massage should jumpstart our body to regain its healthy balance.
Massage is not mutually exclusive in one’s healing journey. It’s important to enhance our bodies with nutrition, exercise, and healthy relationships with family, friends, and co-workers, etc. There are many sources for guidance in these matters from books, health practioners, and even your own meditation.
Remember, it’s never too late to “Rekindle your Spirit” and restart your journey to a balanced, healthy state of mind, body, and spirit. Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey.
About Joan Gennarini:
My healing journey started in September 2003. I took a break from my busy and stressful life and decided to attend massage school full time at the Cayce/Reilly School of Massotherapy in Virginia Beach, VA. After graduation in 2004, I started my own Massage Business and began working for a popular Day Spa in Newark, DE. After a couple years, I left this Day Spa and developed my own Private Clientele Massage Business.
Because of my previous Corporate America work experience, I relate well to my clientele’s daily work challenges. For 15 years, my work days were long and intense in Corporate America. I understand grueling long hours, sitting in meetings, working with various personalities of co-workers, making stressful deadlines, and staring at the computer screen for many hours on-end. My body and mind had definitely taken a toll.
Corporate America moved me across the country from California, to Texas, to Maryland with companies like Shell Oil, Enron North America, and Pacific Gas and Electric. By moving around the country, I was blessed to experience different cultures and approaches to life.
In September 2003, it was time for my body to become relaxed and shed off the many layers of baggage accumulated over the years. It was time for my “Spirit” (heart, mind, body, and soul) to become “Rekindled”.
What a great journey it has been for my Spirit and its continued quest to become Rekindled. Welcome to your journey in becoming a “Rekindled Spirit”!!
Lots of Peace and Blessings,
Joan Gennarini, LMT
